Report Overview
This month has been marked by significant activities and collaborations aimed at advancing our climate care initiatives and fostering community partnerships. Our engagements have spanned from local to international collaborations, highlighting our commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.
1. Meeting with Cross Catholic Outreach Program

Charo with the Cross Catholic outreach program team
We had a productive meeting with the Cross Catholic Outreach Program, led by Fr. Fabian. The primary focus of our discussion was the borehole project, which will be a vital resource for both the (FOH) and our tree nursery project. The borehole will provide a reliable source of water, crucial for irrigation and sustaining our tree-planting initiatives.
In addition to our discussions, we participated in a tree-planting event to commemorate the day. During this event, I had the opportunity to present an overview of Climate Care, detailing our efforts in environmental conservation and our plans to utilize the borehole water for community benefits.
3. Bishop’s Visit

We were privileged to host a visit from the Bishop, providing us with an opportunity to showcase Climate Care’s initiatives. During the visit, we discussed the pivotal role of the borehole project in supporting our community’s water needs. To mark this visit, we planted fruit trees, symbolizing growth and sustainability.
4. Meeting with International Justice Mission

We engaged in a meaningful dialogue with representatives from the International Justice Mission (IJM), an organization dedicated to protecting human rights and combating injustice. Our discussions centered on the intersection of climate change and human rights violations, particularly how environmental degradation exacerbates vulnerabilities among women and children. We proposed a partnership to address these issues collaboratively and are currently awaiting their response.
5. Training of Trainers (TOT) on Gender Mainstreaming and Religious Harmony.

I was invited to speak at a Training of Trainers (TOT) session focused on gender mainstreaming and religious harmony. My presentation highlighted the impact of climate change on community violence and
