In 2024, we’re embarking on an extraordinary journey – both physical and philanthropic. Our team will be trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp, not just for personal achievement, but to raise funds for two incredible causes close to our hearts.
Firstly, we’re honoring the legacy of John Band, whose National Service in Mombasa left an indelible mark. Through our initiative, Smile Kenya, we’re partnering with Climate Care CBO to transform agriculture in Kinango, Kenya. Our trek aims to fund essential resources like water infrastructure, poultry, seeds, and comprehensive support to nurture this visionary project.
Secondly, we’re celebrating the Mondo Foundation’s 20th anniversary by supporting their impactful work across Nepal, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Our 14-day Everest Base Camp Trek will be a challenging yet rewarding experience:
- We’ll journey from Kathmandu to the iconic Everest Base Camp at 5,300 meters
- Key stops include Lukla, Namche Bazaar, and Dingboche
- We’ll face demanding acclimatization hikes to Gong Ri (4000m) and Nagarjun hill (5360m)
Every step of our trek, from the lush valleys to the icy slopes, will be fueled by the knowledge that we’re contributing to sustainable development and positive change in multiple communities across Africa and Asia.
Your support can help us reach new heights – both on the mountain and in our fundraising efforts. Whether you can contribute financially or help spread the word, your involvement will make a real difference in the lives of people in Kenya, Nepal, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Join us on this journey of adventure and compassion. Together, we can turn our trek into a beacon of hope and progress for those in need.
